She has worked in sculpture, installation, plaster casting, printing, photography, glass, ceramics, and collage, She combines various methods and mediums in an effort to create unconventional paintings that may be made of sculpturally sewn paper forms, colorful collaged landscapes of hand dyed papers, plaster elements under printed elements, bent bicycle spokes, printed matter and resin layered tableaux.
Ashira studied media and studio art at Hunter College in New York City, and draws inspiration from her varied life experiences as well as the environments she has lived in. Ashira remains loyal to no single art form, mixing and matching as she pleases.
