For over a decade, Mary Gutfleisch, also known as Mary Doodles, has been cultivating an online community through videos of her artistic process, mixing watercolor and ink with humor, surrealism, and sincerity. Her engaging videos featuring time-lapses of the painting process, tutorials, and art games has earned her an impressive following, including nearly half a million subscribers on YouTube alone. A Minnesota native, Mary frequently incorporates the beauty of nature in her work, and her background in improv comedy ensures her art maintains a quirky and whimsical quality that is entirely her own.

I share art in the spirit of play. By welcoming viewers into the creative process and experiencing the unexpected surprises together, I feel  a deep sense of connection.  We feed one another inspiration.  I also like to paint butts.
