Susan Savory
Susan Savory was born and raised in a small city on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Central New York. After completing her BFA in Illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City, she worked as an illustrator, with a special affection for children’s picture books. Susan has experimented in almost every medium: painting and drawing as well as glass, clay, fiber and metal, and has shown her work in galleries and museums throughout New York, New England and California. She has curated several gallery shows in Maine, Massachusetts, and Los Angeles; and was the curator/manager of the Art, Craft & Design Showcase for the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen from 2016 through 2023. Her most recent personal works include a series of mixed media assemblages built with vintage photographs, found objects, oil pastel and colored pencil. Susan also creates jewelry incorporating her own metalwork and lampwork glass beads as well as antique silver, stones, and other small treasures collected in her extensive travels. Savory has been a Brewery (and California) resident since January of 2014.
