The BAA is putting a call out to all Brewery community members – Create an iconic poster design to represent the Spring 2024 Artwalk!

This is a great opportunity to display your creative talent and show support for the Brewery Artwalk! It’s our hope that this contest will receive enough community participation to make it an ongoing part of our events and that this will be the first in a long line of iconic poster designs that will become a lasting part of the Brewery Artwalk history.

Here’s How it Works

Entries will be posted online and voted on exclusively by the Brewery community. The winning design will be printed as a collectible art poster and sold in the I5 Gallery gift shop with all proceeds   earned from poster sales in the I5 Gallery or on the Brewery Artwalk website going directly to the BAA’s operating fund.

The design may be included in press releases and other PR material in association with the Brewery Artwalk. Additionally, the Spring 2024 Artwalk marketing will complement the poster design, possibly incorporating elements of the design either in part or in whole.


The winner will receive:

  • 20 poster prints to sell, keep or gift as they see fit.
  • One single-artist tier 1 resident registration for the Spring 2024 Artwalk or its  cash equivalent.
  • Credit for the winning design on the poster and the BAA website.

How to Vote

Voting is open only to Brewery Community members  with one vote allotted  per community member.  Once Voting opens on February 1st you can vote for your favorite design. (link will be available when voting opens)

The entry with the most votes at the close of voting will be the winner. The winner will be contacted directly and announced on the BAA website. The BAA reserves the right to reject entries that do not adhere to the requirements put forth herein or for any other reason without notification.

Rules & Guidelines

Please read carefully. The BAA reserves the right to disqualify entries at any time for any reason including, but not limited to entries that do not meet the requirements established herein.

The contest is open to all Brewery residents including all leaseholders, day spacers, roommates and employees of Calson Industries as well as BAA board members themselves. Multiple entries per person are acceptable.


SIZE / ORIENTATION: Design must be 18 x 24 inches, vertical/portrait orientation.

FILE FORMATS: Acceptable file formats for entries include: jpg or png (RGB)

THEME / MEDIA: There are no restrictions on subject matter, however the work should strive to be of a quality representative of a frame-worthy, collectible art print. All mediums are eligible as long as they can be represented in a 2-D print format.  If you need some inspiration or further visual guidance, you can find examples of posters we like here: https://breweryartwalk.com/poster-contest-examples

QUALIFICATIONS: Artwork must be original, created within the last calendar year and 100% created by the entrant. (i.e. no copyrighted text or images, stock images, clip art or AI generated art.)

TEMPLATES: Several templates are available with predetermined text layouts and messaging.  Artists may choose one of the predetermined layouts as a starting point or a blank template for a more specialized design. WINNING DESIGN: Once the winning design is chosen, it will need to be submitted as CMKY 300 dpi or greater for print. Layered photoshop files, Illustrator or inDesign files with the  text and images on separate layers are strongly encouraged for the final print, but not necessarily required. The BAA may work with the winner to optimize the design for print if necessary. 

Terms of Entry

All entries shall become property of the Brewery Artwalk Association (BAA) until such time as the contest has ended and the winner has been announced. By entering the contest, the winner grants the BAA reproduction and publication rights of the submitted work in perpetuity. In addition, participants consent to the use of the contestant’s first and last name on the contest webpage and other related promotions without further permission, compensation, or approval. Further, Participants release, discharge, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the BAA and its members/representatives from all claims, damages, demands, obligations, or losses of any kind related to or arising from, participation in this contest.
